Uncertainty and Randomness
Apr. 27th, 2004 06:17 pmSomebody has erased Princeton from the Jae Bae thing and someone else has circled Harvard. Meanwhile on the opposite window Rutgers continues to collect many more votes than any of the others, even Columbia with 8. Also people have written in others such as "Tokyo University", "FDU Hackensack", and "2 Cool for Skool" (which actually got more than 1 vote).
I'm thinking more and more I should go to NAQT rather than ARML. I mean, the math team can do without me, right? I'm good, but I'm not *that* good. OTOH, without me, who will our QB team have to cover science or the other bizarre stuff I know? Not Czolacz, not Stefan, not Shu, not Joe Gregg, not Muneem, Jon Chu really doesn't do QB anymore, and then we really start getting into the lesser members of our team.
So today in physics Mr. Liva tested the range of human hearing. It seems I can't hear as wide of a range as most of the other people in my physics class. :(
Randomness:
Rajesh: "Prove that 1+1=3 for all values of 1."
Me: "For *all* values of 1? I only know how to do it for 2 values of 1."
Rajesh: "Which values of 1?"
Me: "6 and 4½."
Rajesh: "How do you do it for 4½?"
Me: "You have to use the Rational Root Theorem."
Ha, Mickey has gotten me to start watching Naruto. I had no work last night so I watched all first 10 episodes, nearly in a row, though I took a shower after episode 8. :D
USACO results are in, though not the scores yet. My result summary:
Hm. I suppose that ends this entry.
