As discussed last entry... here it is! Again, hopefully I'm not embarrassing myself with this.

If you look at nothing else, look at the two tables. Especially the first table, it's so fancy! :)

ooooooh yes that is an especially awesome table. I've now spent ~30 mins digging through \tabular documentation - good way to start the day!

My department makes a lot of their own documents for teaching, I'm slowly convincing them - individual by individual - that LaTeX would be a better tool for this than Word (in particular, won't look different between different OS/editions), and that it's not that hard to learn, and how much it can do. We're gonna be thinking about tables in the next few days, now :)

Tables... man, I really am not convinced that LaTeX is better than Word when it comes to tables. But it's a bit hard to mix and match...

Let me also add -- that table was original supposed to have bold borders on the diagonal elements, but the package I was using to put in the bold borders conflicted with, IIRC, the package I was using to put in the dashed border. So that got dropped. Advantage Word. :-/
