OK. Here is the long version of my third draft of Josh's and my paper on integers with complexity close to the lower bound... and here is a much shorter version which hopefully should actually be publishable, because it's, y'know, not 28 pages long. (Only 17.) I am hoping that my labelling it "Part I" isn't too hubristic and that the excised parts can actually be scrounged together into a second paper. Well, first we'll see what people think of this one. Or we'll just go ahead and submit it to INTEGERS since we only have a little over a week to do so if we want it in their special John Selfridge memorial issue.

Of course there's still the issue of that 7-page long table that isn't included in the draft proper...
