Temporal inversion
Jul. 26th, 2009 04:03 pmPlayed AGoT [as Stark] against Josh [Lannister], Steve [Greyjoy], Gabby [Baratheon] (the two of them are in town for the reunion), and Will [Tyrell]; Gabby won on turn 3, going from 4 points to 7 by taking Sunspear, Harrenhal, and White Harbor (me having totally left my eastern coast open, d'oh).
Then later that night played Settlers against Will, Nakul, and Yiwei, and due to a cramped board (i.e. lots of 3-away placing) the game dragged on for 3 and half hours. By the time the game ended, it was impossible for any more settlements to be placed on the board, and I had used up *all* my roads (requiring some trickery to represent on the board as the set was missing one) for an unbeatable longest road, so there was literally no more use for brick or wood for anyone, except to trade to the bank.
