I'd forgotten about this, so by this point my memory of the quote is pretty inexact. But basically it was: "When you're young, you think crazy people must be the most interesting people, because they have all sorts of crazy things in their heads. But crazy people are actually the most boring people. Because they have just one thing in their head, and it's boring."
