sniffnoyFriday night. Kelsey is missing. People are worried. [Note: I probably have wrong who said what here.]
Ben: Maybe she's dead in a bush somewhere.
Peter: That's not very likely.
Me: Yeah, she'd probabaly fall out of the bush pretty quickly.
Only a few of the rest of the people seem to hear, and none but the three of us and Steve seem to find it funny. Those who didn't hear wonder what's so funny and we repeat it. They don't find it so funny, it seems.
?: How do you fall out of a bush, anyway?
Me: Swiftly and without warning!
Steve and us laugh again. Everyone else seems more horrified.
