They're not in order, though

Things build up, and eventually there are enough of them to form an entry, if not a coherent one. I have a list of them here.
EDIT 7 Oct 07: Expanded the "Nexus Ops" section; wrote up descriptions of how the actual games went.
"painbird":
So we have four Gamecube controllers - two Wavebirds and two ordinary (and purple) controllers (one of which works only sporadically). One of the two wavebirds is known as "the painbird", because the plastic covering on the analog stick is entirely gone, meaning you are playing with your thumb to the bare, uh, plastic. It hurts. So until now I always used one of the purple controllers rather than the painbird. But playing Melee a lot more has gotten me to realize just how awful the purple controllers are, so, I've started using the painbird. It hurts, but does it hurt as much as side-Bing when you meant to up-B? I don't think it does.
(How did an NGC controller get that bad, anyway? They don't wear out nearly as quickly as N64 controllers. Meanwhile, there's still the question of what we're going to do when Brawl comes out.)
"pain gun":
This should probably be saved for an entry of its own. We'll see if I get around to it.
"spy games":
This too is probably best saved for an entry of its own. We'll, uh, see above.
"metal slug", "JGR", "Pelpet?"
So the Xbox is currently in Nick and Mike's room; I do intend to take it back up to the lounge so I can play more Metal Slug, but I haven't gotten around to it. Especially as Aaron finally unlocked all the characters again in Jet Grind Radio, so I've started collecting the remaining Graffiti Souls. I've also been playing Pelpet a lot. I've got a high score of 171.
"staffghost":
Speaking of high scores, Wai Lee has once again beaten the staff ghost on Slim Line, making the jump all three laps. He's now trying to beat the staff ghost on Jumps of Doom, also with the Blood Hawk. (Also, apparently Mike Boylan beat the staff ghost on Space Plant at some point, with the Twin Noritta. I don't think he told us, though.) I nominated him for Hero of the Week for it, but he lost to Nick, who ran an 8 kilometer race despite someone acidentally driving the spikes on his shoe into Nick's foot at the beginning. There was a lot of blood loss.
"jobstealing":
Speaking of Nick (Nunez, not D'Andrea), I'd like to repeat a joke he made at dinner at some time ago. Nick is Mexican, IINM, and the subject of bizarre stereotypes came up ("What's with saying black people love fried chicken? Everyone loves fried chicken!") and Nick said, you know what I want to do? Someday, I'm going to go hide in a dark alleyway, and the first white person that comes by, I'm going to mug him - only I won't take his wallet or anything, I'll take his job.
"Mafia", "Nexus Ops":
Winston organized a big game of Mafia yesterday, we played several rounds. Now I hadn't yet introduced the backup inspector trick - I had hoped for it to come out in game - but so far I had never been inspector. I drew inspector in the final game yesterday; I ended up seated next to only one person, Nathan, a Mafia; after a bit of walking around, I moved my seat, next to Winston - I really didn't think he was Mafia, but I inspected him the next night anyway to be safe. (Actually, at that point, I probably should have inspected who I really thought was the other Mafia, rather than trying to go with a backup inspector, seeing as I had a good idea. I turned out to be entirely wrong, but...) The next day, however, I fall under suspicion; I call for a straw poll and things look to be going against me, so I reveal that I'm the inspector, Nathan's Mafia, and I die the next night. Anyway, I was so disappointed in not getting to do a backup inspector trick, I did end up telling Aaron and Winston about it.
(That's a name collision I didn't mention earlier - Winston and Wilson. Admittedly they're not quite the same, and Wilson doesn't technically live here anymore, but...)
Also Nexus Ops has actually been coming out, yay, I've taught several people how to play. Though Nathan maintains that the game has "very strange rules". Hah. I should show him Duel of Ages. (OK, so DoA doesn't really have strange rules, it just has rules nobody can remember all of. They're not especially complicated, just nobody actually remembers all of them. But still.) Colin and I still have yet to restart our Twilight Struggle feud, though.
As for Nexus Ops - first game was me vs. Peter vs. Youlian. Youlian got early control of the monolith, while I threw my rock striders against it to little avail. He eventually got a dragon on the monolith and just dominated the game. Second game was me vs. Peter vs. Nathan, which went a lot more evenly. Nathan controlled the monolith for most of the beginning, though I was close behind him in points. Eventually Peter took control of the monolith and began catching up in board position but still way behind on the points. I never actually controlled the monolith - or maybe I did for one turn early on? I forget - by the time I would have made my attacks to take it, Peter already had two dragons next to the monolith ready to breathe plasma on any invaders. Yeah, I don't think I want to stand there... eventually Peter caught up to tie the game at 8-8-8, and then won out of nowhere with a fungoid swarm against a lone human of mine and some appropriate secret mission cards.
And there was a party at Girl Alex's the other day, I brought Pow Wow, we didn't play but I started telling them about it when I was leaving, she actually really liked the sound of it. So, next time, then. Meanwhile Kate keeps saying we should play Bean Game, though this actually happening has yet to come together; could this actually be the year boardgaming comes together in Tufts? We'll see. Meanwhile, I still have to recover Metal Slug. :P
That covers everything on the list except "pain gun" and "spy games". Maybe I'll actually write those up eventually.

Also, written on Mike and Nick's whiteboard is "Computers are all about killing you in a lake." Not on the list, but...
