Well, today was the day of decision. The intra-Tufts housing lottery for next year is complete. Only if anyone moves to another house will there be any changes.

Summary of the results:
None of the third-years are returning. That's right, we have no fourth-years next year.

The only returning second-years are me (reclaiming 405), Summer, Marissa, and Laura, who has taken a double - her same room, actually - and is pulling in Sarah Entreken.

As for the first-years... they didn't plan their doubles. In fact, they didn't plan at all, or not to any noticeable extent. Well, block planninng really isn't important, but double planning is.

So the returning first-years are Aviva, Supriya, Sadie, Luke (taking Rachel's room), Sarah Magidson, Mark Stankevitz, Evette (taking Lulu's room), Leslie, Wai Lee (taking room 420, appropriately enough), Amelia, Will, Tyler, Dan, Peter, Steve, Colin ("We'll be neighbors, Harry... I could pick you up any time" - though really there'll be someone inbetween us), Kate Aguirre, Agnes, Melissa, and... the people ending up with doubles.

As I said, there was no double planning, so everyone who ended up with a double (Laura aside) ended up rooming with a first-year. Or, not exactly - you'll see.

Aaron was the first person not getting a double. He repicked his same room from this year. Mike Boylan was next; he picked Grace and Sadie's room, but has noted that he intends to move out. Now last year Emily Lu moved out after the lottery, letting Sam get a single, but if Boylan moves out, he'll be moving out from a double, which doesn't really help anything. Next up was John Wood; he wasn't there, so Supriya proxied, and he too took a room (Leslie and Evette's) with a first year.

Finally came Wilson. Actually, after Wilson was supposed to be Mike Joyce, but he didn't show, so no room for him. Wilson asks Aaron if it's OK to room with him and mistakenly thinks Aaron approves, and so moves in with Aaron. He comes back out... what! No, it's *not* OK for you to be my roommate! Wilson goes back in to fix this... and, without asking permission, moves in with John Wood. Ugh. Wilson, if John Wood had wanted you for a roommate, he would have pulled you in. (If you guys had actually planned, anyway. :P ) If Boylan leaves, though, chances are John Wood and Wilson, if they don't want to room with each other, will get the chance to take his room, though they'd still end up with a first-year.

As last year, I will end by listing the people who left Tufts House in the middle of this year:
Sarah Entreken: Took a leave of absence, is returning next year rooming with Laura
Nadja: Took a leave of absence
Goetz: Went abroad 3rd quarter
Noah: Moved to Michelson
Also worth noting - Michael Toney took a leave of absence, transferred to Ohio State

We'll see what happens from here.

You know what's awkward? Being like "No, you can't be my roommate." But I did it anyway, and it still almost blew up in my face. Just goes to show...
