No surprise there.

Now, some news about Nomicron:

The game has become a mess of RFJs (Requests for Judgement). Here's some recent (and not-so-recent) history of the game:

1. Toreun resigns as Chessmaster. "A Checkered Future", having no Officer to go with it, becomes a Poem (a Rule with no effect on the game).
2. Stuff happens... time passes...
3. Nakor becomes Chessmaster. He starts Nomichess over with a clear board.
4. Jef submits RFJ 5209, stating that if a Rule becomes a Poem, and then a Rule again, any subgames it defines retain their state.
5. Human, having forgotten about 5209, submits RFJ 5211, stating exactly the same thing.
6. Breadman rules 5211 true.
7. mmessano fails to deliver a ruling on 5209 and is penalized 25 points; pitboss is the new judge for the case.
8. pitboss rules 5209 false.
9. Toreun submits RFJ 5213, an attempt to win by inconsistency.
10. Nakor appeals 5209. The judges are me, Ouroboros, and mmessano, who failed to rule on it earlier.
11. I rule 5209 false, but note that in the specific cases that have come up, it is actually true.

We also have 2 RFJs, stating pretty much opposite things, in response to Human's attempt to make more than one sludge transfer at once (it's supposed to be only once per turn), based on the fact that he made the sludge transfers when it wasn't a turn at all, another one about the state of Nomichess, which Toreun has ruled Undecided, and another one claiming that the spell "Teleportation" cannot be cast.

This is going to be interesting.

...did you know the LJ spillchucker thinks "teleportation" isn't a word?

At least in the web interface for comments, the LJ spillchucker often fails to understand that an apostrophe can exist within a word.

It also chokes on accented characters, which is très annoying.

Yeah, the apostrophes I noticed a *long* time ago - I've never bothered to download any of the clients, and just always use the web interface.
