Yesterday, it would have been accurate to say:
Elana and I are having something of a competition to see who can finish reading HP&tOotP. It's her book, so she gets priority (ie more time), but I read faster. Currently I'm a few chapters ahead.
...but of course it's not anymore because I just finished reading it this morning.
In other news, I also ordered the Hitchhiker's DVD (aka The DVD, even though it's really 2 DVDs) yesterday. I've never seen the TV show before, so this'll be my first time watching it. It'll also mean I get to act like a newbie on afda asking questions about all the easter eggs in it. :)

Because "Geek" is a Compliment
Date: 2003-07-02 02:00 am (UTC)a yeartwo years off between high school and Yale.Anyway, given that I don't know you, and given that a large plurality of my IRL friends now insist you remind them of me, I figured it would be wise to remedy one of those two conditions, and getting a whole new batch of friends seemed like more work than leaving a comment in your LJ.
Besides, I figure anyone who frequents afda and links to the Evil Overlord List (which is now something of a leitmotif in my LJ) must be a hoopy frood who really knows where his towel is (speaking of which, this -- which, given your presence in afda, probably isn't new to you -- was one of the first things to which I linked in my LJ, when I started it a couple of years ago).
In any event, enough of my geeky babbling: it's cool to meet you. I've added you to my LJ friends list, assuming that's okay, and look forward to whatever strangeness crops up in your journal.
