It is very easy to forget your stories when you do not retell them.
Fortunately for me I have this LJ, which can serve as my memory when my brain fails me. Also, of course, I have various text files on my computer, but for those things I wish to retell, they will probably end up here.
Anyway, some time ago I found myself wanting to tell the story of How Issao Hurt His Foot, but I could not remember the bulk of it. I knew that I had not recorded it here as such, but had rather linked to where Fergie recorded it on his LJ - for why should I write what is already written? But I also remembered that Fergie had deleted everything before a certain point on his LJ...
Well, today I actually thought to check, and indeed, that entry is deleted. Now I am left with a useless link in my LJ and a hole in my memory. I can retell parts of the story, probably, but not the whole thing.
:(
Am I just going to have to make backups of everything that other people can delete?

Date: 2006-12-21 08:41 am (UTC)Liz kicks him (and storms off, I think). Fergie, realizing that he didn't feel anything, proceeds to be Fergie and starts spreading the story. Issao hears about the incident, while Fergie, in a rare moment of forethought, goes to his room and gets a sports cup, because lack of pain doesn't mean lack of damage.
Issao encounters him after Fergie gets the cup, and, shoeless for reasons not well understood by anyone but Issao, kicks Fergie in the cup.
