I've already got 2½ pages written and the writing is going really easily (I just hope I'm not going to get a bad grade for writing obvious things), so I will take this time to record some things.

Kate Harney has written on the board:
1) Proclamation of 1763
2) I love peanut butter and bananas.
3) Do not steal my shoes.

So today I had a real hard time waking up. Probably due to me not getting nearly enough sleep the night before. It was one of those cases where you wake up and whatever it was you were dreaming about is all you can think about, all you can think in terms of, despite having absolutely nothing to do with whatever is actually going on, nothing to do with going up and getting to class, but every time you try to get up, you think, "No! What about X?" I had begun reading a biography of Mayor Daley (the original one) just before going to sleep so in this case X was political machines, despite my not actually knowing anything about them (that's hardly required, after all, and generally just makes things worse, as your actual knowledge of it conflicts with whatever you thought from the dream, but while you have some dim idea the latter is false, you just can't shake it and always end up totally confused when you can't reconcile the two).

Also, I dreamt I was visiting BCA... and then suddenly realized, wait, I live in Chicago! I had no idea I was dreaming at this point and I flat-out panicked. How did I get here? Did I drive? Did I take the school bus? From where? From my house? From somewhere else? How did I get to New Jersey, anyway? Did I fly? I have no memory of anything today before BCA! So I run to the airport (no idea how I actually got there) figuring, I'll buy a ticket back to Chicago and tell my mom about it afterwards, because I've got to get back, I have a paper due tomorrow. Well, some very odd things happened at the airport which I'm not going to get into a description of here, but, long story short, I eventually concluded that I had been brought to Hackensack instantly by a magical golden horse, who would not help me get back to Chicago. I don't remember actually being on a plane though I did make it back; I don't remember much past that.
