Blech. Yesterday started out as Sore Throat Day and quickly moved into Generally Sick Day. I tried to go to bed at 20:00, but wasn't actually able to fall asleep until much, much later. Girl Alex gave me some NyQuil, but I think I threw it up. To add insult to injury, the bag I threw up into turned out to have a hole in it. I wasn't even able to sleep for about more than 3 hours at a time.

Still, today I'm better. Yesterday I didn't want to go eat dinner even when I was very hungry; today I ate two cupcakes shortly after waking up, and no, I didn't throw them up afterwards. Ginny made me some tea - you know, at home I would never drink tea, I think because I knew my mom had plenty of other tricks up her sleeve - but here, well, I didn't know what else to do. So, by waiting a long time, I managed to finally get past the heat. And I found that, indeed, I don't like tea (or that sort, anyway). But I drank it anyway.

Still have a bad cold, of course, and a bit achy, but otherwise I'm fine now.

There seem to be about fifty million different illnesses running through campus right now. I'm currently attempting to cure a sore throat through sheer willpower, as I got an e-mail this morning from a girl with whom I shared food (ate off the same plate) last night at the house trip saying that she's pretty sure she has strep throat - she developed symptoms shortly after returning home. I really don't want strep throat. I hope you also do not have it.
