OK. Worms Armageddon. I think I need to draw a picture...
    \ \
     \ \_______
     | \ -
     |_____*_\_#_\
...something like that. Where the '*' is my worm, the '#' is Mickey's worm - yes, there is ground beneath them - and the '-' is a gap too narrow for anything to go through.

So I try a homing pigeon.

I lock onto his worm, I send it up the chute, and... what I'm hoping will happen is, of course, that it will go around, and, even though it can't get through, still damage his worm or at least just open it up to the outside.

It goes up the chute and stalls. It flaps around madly for a bit, deciding where to go. Then it comes right back down the chute - I was somewhat afraid of that - and crashes right into my worm. Like direct hit. Didn't hit his at all, didn't even blow through the wall. Just bam.

Best homing pigeon ever? Best homing pigeon ever[0].

As far as I know, the "Best. [Blank]. Ever" thing was popularized by the Simpsons' comic book store guy. But I don't really watch the Simpsons, I just read that somewhere, I think.

M, I meant specifically the self-question-and-answer "Best X ever? Best X ever."

Also, come to think of it, I only included the periods because I've seen it so much in writing; actually saying it, I don't intend any pauses there. I'm going to go change the title of the entry to just "Best Homing Pigeon Ever".
