...OK, looking at your LJ, that's not Hyper Sonic. That's Silver the Hedgehog. Very different. Hyper Sonic is what you can transform into in S3&K when you get all the super emeralds. Silver the Hedgehog is disturbing in many ways (another new character? and he's a hedgehog? and he's not fast but is telekinetic? and he's from the future?! WTF?!) but eye-hurtiness isn't one of them.
