They were secret agents. Or maybe organized criminals? Whether they were legal or illegal, though, they were definitely up to no good. And Minda was one of them. They played a card game called "Caamas", like the Star Wars planet, but in actual gameplay it was identical to Skat. Well, not really. But my perception was that it was identical to Skat. Except, in the dream, I didn't know of the existence of any game called "Skat"; basically it was as if the game Skat had been both renamed to "Caamas" and had the rules changed. Which leaves the question of how I can be so sure now that it was, in fact, supposed to be Skat; I think I had this definite perception of Skat at the back of my mind, it just wasn't part of the fictional world of the dream, rather it was part of the world of the me observing the dream. But the point is that they were playing Skat, calling it "Caamas", and definitely up to no good.

Oh, I was one of them, too. No... that's not right. I worked for them, but I wasn't one of them. Or did I exist at all? I'm having trouble remembering now. No, I definitely existed, because I talked to them, I asked them questions. Like why they had so much fruit lying around. Apparently it was for their boss, who got angry really easily and had the head of an ox. (He did; I saw it. Well, I mean, it didn't actually look like the head of an ox, I suppose the image is more like that of a cartoon bull, but I perceived it as an ox head, so whatever. I don't know what an ox actually looks like, anyway. Oh, apparently an ox is really just a bull anyway, so my dream wasn't that far off.) Because of his ox head, he ate a lot of fruit and it was good to have some around. (I get the idea that actual oxen don't eat a lot of fruit, but...) I definitely worked for them at one point, maybe not the entire time. I think not at the end. I remember they played Caamas both in their office and outside - next to another group of people playing the same game - around a fire? A grill? A table? Nothing at all? I don't remember. It would be weird if it were a fire, since it was broad daylight, but weirdness counts for nothing in this case... well, I don't remember, let's leave it at that. No, let's say it was either a table or nothing, since they were, you know, placing the cards down. Why do I then have the image of a fire or a grill? (This was definitely in someone's backyard, by the way.) Maybe just an inconsistency in the dream, maybe just an intrusion from elsewhere. I don't know. Of course there was much more but that's all I can remember. I certainly don't remember what they were doing that was all so secret in the first place. Hm.

Everyone seems to be dreaming lately. And playing Skat. I guess it's natural that the two combined.

There was originally a paragraph break after "and definitely up to no good." Maybe I should put it back in.

I should also mention that I was pretty panicked when I saw them playing Caamas outside, that was towards the end, I don't remember what I was so panicked about but the fact that they weren't doing anything made it worse and I fled off to the right, towards the front yard.

And then you stumble across a group of waking-life people playing Caamas, not Skat but Caamas, and realize that you are in fact in a Philip K. Dick novel.

I think the the fact that Skat exists in the first place is an indication of something wrong with the world.
