Super Sonic ftw!

SONIC NEVER DIES!
7 chaos emeralds, 50 rings, and jump.
Notice I say "jump", not "double jump".
Finally, I got Super Sonic in Sonic 2. And went on to win, of course. (Just *beating* Sonic 2 I've done many times.)
I'd gotten up to the 7th special stage before - even to its final checkpoint. Never beat it before, though. You know the final checkpoint of the 7th special stage? Where it alternates between sections that are purely bombs and sections that are purely rings but are so scattered that you basically have to run in circles and hope for the best? Yeah. I actually came within 1 ring of completing it in Oil Ocean Zone. A bit later in Oil Ocean Zone I actually did it, with quite a few rings to spare!
Unfortunately, Metropolis Zone isn't exactly the best place for Super Sonic.
Did you realize you can actually change into Super Sonic in Sky Chase Zone? Well, you can. Also, as Super Sonic you can make that jump in Wing Fortress Zone that lets you skip all the platform-jumping. Yeah.
...whoo.

Date: 2006-07-07 06:01 am (UTC)...also, Sonic 3 and S3&K? Isn't that a bit redundant?
Also, for that matter, does this girlfriend have a name I can call her or will I have to make one up? Speaking of which, I should change my standard anonymous reply reply. Not that anyone ever listens to it anyway - do anonymous commentors just pass through and then never look at the entry again, do they not understand the meaning of the word "explicitly", or is explicitly stating anonymity just too much effort for them? - but I should change it to say that they ought to introduce some name, however made up, for themselves, just so that if you want to make more comments and have us know it's the same person, you can do that. Because that's really the point, that rather than signing your thing anonymous, you should sign it "Mr. X" or something like that, so we can keep track of the comments by Mr. X, the comments by Dr. Wily, etc., even if, as it turns out, Mr. X was actually Dr. Wily all along. :D
