Yay done with swimming! Now, barring emergencies, I will never have to swim again! And then hopefully I will have a life preserver!
Also yay because tomorrow A Feast for Crows comes out! Though I can't say I've been properly excited most of the day because I've got this essay due tomorrow which I've barely started on, but swimming is over, so right now I am completely ignoring that and writing this LJ entry. So tomorrow I will finish my essay (if I don't finish it today), go to class, hand it in and then go buy A Feast for Crows and... well, I suppose I'll have to do my CS homework at some point. Also I probably will go to QB practice. :)
I should note at this point, although it's completely irrelevant, that I've temporarily put Mega Man on hold while I try to get the remaining trophies in Melee. Ideally I would have put it on hold so as to get my work done, but...
It occurs to me that Jack or Doug or someone else better than me could probably get a bunch of these trophies, but it seems I'm the only one trying. :-/ Well, I think Grant might be too. He's a bit better than me, I think. Trying to get the Master Hand trophy, I got Master Hand down to 44 HP! 44! But I haven't gotten lucky like that (i.e. gotten easy enemies to fight) since then.
Now, as for the part of the entry that gives it its title.
Picture this. It's Friday afternoon, and you've just received your extra-long weekend problem set. You're probably thinking, "It just doesn't get any better than this." So, Tufts house lounge. One of the couches has been moved; a giant slab of wood runs between it and another couch. On this slab are several stacks of books and much hair; the hair has also gotten on the surrounding floor quite a bit. Behind this is the trampoline that Thompson, having stolen it from Shorey who stole it from Henderson, gave to us, upon which are more books and a bunch of dominos.
So Alex and Kate and some others took this board, put it out as described for a reason I forget, and then took a bunch of the books from the bookshelf and put them on it and did dominoes with them (while Kate opened a copy of the Bible she found on the bookshelf and started reading random parts aloud). Alex also dumped the actual dominoes on the trampoline, for reasons I forget.
So much later Gabe of Breckinridge[0] came by to get help with his math homework. Gabe is also in Math 207 and he's often the one Mr. Sally picks on; he often doesn't follow in class and comes to Lucas for help a lot. For some reason he asks Alex to give him a haircut. Past this I'm not too clear on what happened; Alex says sure, Gabe realizes Alex doesn't really know too much about cutting hair, Alex gets Rachel, who actually often does give haircuts to fellow Tuftsians, and it is suggested that Alex can cut his hair and Rachel can fix it afterwards, Alex, Rachel, and Kate stand in the upper lounge snickering about what sort of haircut they might give him, eventually Kate ends up cutting his hair with him sitting on the board (the books having been stacked and moved out of the way). Nobody cleans up the hair.
...yeah, that wasn't a very good story at all. Oh well. Back towork procrastinating until after dinner.
