Holy crap Shuo is alive and in Boston!

Unlocked July 17th, because, this didn't really need locking...
So in July I'm heading back to the east coast for a bit and I figured, hey, why not go up to Boston and see Heidi (who'll be a PROMYS counselor) and Josh and whoever else is around? So I mention this on Facebook to sniff out who else might be around (AGoT, anyone?) and who I can stay with (since I can't stay with Heidi in this case).
Well, apparently Shuo still checks Facebook, because about a day later (yesterday) I got an email from her stating hey, I'm in the area of Boston, we should meet up. Just hearing from her at all would have been unexpected. If you'd asked me to put odds on this beforehand I would have gone with less than 1 in 100, I'm pretty sure.
(The last time I heard any news of her was... oh, huh, that was in August, actually by her standards that's not so long ago. She was telling me she had was applying to grad schools in ancient philosophy and that she might move to Chicago.)
Naturally I've been telling everyone. Grant had no idea. Wai Lee had no idea. Kate Harney had no idea (and she's in the Boston area, though not for much longer from what she tells me). Nadja said oh yeah, she's been back on the grid since November, which doesn't match what she told me back when I was in Chicago (that she'd heard nothing as usual), but, whatever. Maybe she's just taking the long-scale view. This is Shuo; disappearing for only 9½ months arguably counts as being on the grid for her...
Addendum: Well, Jim was aware. He says: "Shuo has been coming to Chicago occasionally. Stays with Nadja when she does. I had drinks with her back in the fall and then again a couple months ago. I think she moves back and forth between MN and MA depending on work. I don't think she moved to Cambridge until like January or February or something like that."
Did I ever actually ask Nadja about Shuo when I was in Chicago? Maybe I'm misremembering.
Addendum June 2: Girl Alex says same thing as Jim... heh, Alex gave me her phone number too, which Shuo herself didn't. Oops? :)
