I noticed myself saying "plug [something] out" for "unplug" the other day; a quick Google shows this phrase is not original to me. "Power down" comes to mind as a similar expression (inverting the modifier even though the verb is no longer appropriate). Hm. Anyone know of any others? Maybe I should actually see if I can look this up...
