Really, it's just a phone
Oct. 21st, 2006 11:13 pmSo I had to go see this play, Raisin, for Drama. Wasn't very good. But that's not the point...
So there was this one part during the first act - two characters onstage, one does something funny, the other starts laughing... and then the phone rings. They have some guy in back ring a little bell for a phone sound effect, and the actress just cracks up. I mean, it's just a phone ringing, it's not supposed to be funny, but the actress just completely cracked up, and everyone started laughing, and finally she got herself composed again and the guy rang the bell once more so she could go answer the phone... and she just completely cracked up again. This went on 3 or 4 times before she was finally able to answer the phone.
Grant: And this was a professional production?
Yup, it sure was. Although, considering the rest of the play, that was probably the best part. :P
