New userpic. 6 out of 6. No more unless LJ expands it again.

First of all, rabbits are not very smart. So Kevin called and said he was biking with some people, I said I was eating dinner, he said he'd come by later. So some time later I go outside and I start going around in circles waiting for him. Seeing rabbits all around, I think, "Hey, why don't I go chase them?" But, seeing as they're in people's yards, I can't really do that. So of course I go to Coleman to find some rabbits to chase. So they're not really that much faster than a bicycle. (Not actually *faster* than one, of course, but firstly I was on grass, and secondly I wasn't actually trying to run the rabbits over, just scare them, so...) But then can turn very fast. They'll often feint in one direction and then run the opposite way. One rabbit, though, just kept circling around a bush. I would approach, he would go around to the other side of the bush. I would go around the bush, he would go back around to the other side. And so on until I got bored, which was pretty quickly. What is that supposed to accomplish? I mean, sure, if you want your predator to get bored and go away, but if you're actually being chased by someone who needs food and is trying to eat you, that's probably not going to work. I mean, the things that eat rabbits aren't so stupid that they think it's disappeared when it just goes behind a bush, are they?

Some time later, when Kevin had still not arrived, I decide to call him. On the cell phone. While still riding. Meaning I was only using my left hand. And then I had to stop the bike. Forgetting that each handbrake brakes a separate wheel. Meaning I stopped only the front wheel and the bike threw me off and the cell phone went flying out of my hand. The phone was undamaged, and I scraped my right hand and left knee. Yay.

You're it!

EDIT 12 years later: Heh, apparently the image I included here is now a 404. I've replaced it with a (presumably) similar one.
