A guy on the street, saying, over and over again (I am not making this up, I swear): "Jehovah, show me a human sacrifice." Firstly, very much the wrong god to ask for any sort of human sacrifice. Secondly, WHAT THE FUCK?!

So, noone seems to have noticed the introduction of Jack into the unrandomized list, though a lot of people heard about it; that copy of the list wasn't actually used for the randomization, a new copy was, so Bill certainly never drew his name out of the hat (where by "hat" I mean "bucket"). Afterward, though, they were looking at the list - apparently there was some problem - and they announced this, and from where they were pointing I thought they had noticed Jack's name - but actually Girl Sam had noticed that her name hadn't been drawn, and so they were checking the list and seeing that she wasn't on there. For a moment I was afraid that I had introduced that error, but then Mark pointed out that Girl Sam wasn't called was a result of her not being on Bill and Fiona's list.

So now, of course, I've thought of, and it's been suggested to me several times, that I ought to insert Jack's name into the randomized list. Unfortunately, copies of this have been distributed, so I can't affect most of those. I think I'll wait until the lottery is coming up - hopefully this list actually *will* be used, seeing as how it's just reading names off the list rather than cutting it up and putting the names in a hat - to reduce the risk of anyone noticing. Also, this list has numbers on it, so there's the question of what number to assign Jack. If I push everyone else down, someone might notice that the numbers are wrong. And putting in a number for Jack that's, say, a half-integer, or out of sequence, would probably also be noticeable. So I think I'll use a duplicate number; that shouldn't be so obvious.
