More end-of-the-year bits
Jun. 17th, 2005 08:24 amWell apparently Mr. Sayres really will not be doing QB next year, as he's not going to be teaching. I forget what Elana said he would be doing. I'm guessing Mr. Scarpone will probably take over? But blech - Mr. Sayres is leaving and they're *still* getting rid of Mr. Gupta. Gah, who's-teacher-here is almost as screwed up as who's-counselor-at-PROMYS...
Also, George Hotz is leaving the school! He's going to be homeschooled now.
A weird incident from a few days ago: I was sitting in math class, just reading as we don't do anything in any class but Lit anymore, and I hear the jingle of Icehouse pyramids, and I look up and I see someone leaving. "What the hell? Did someone just take my pyramids?" I think. I check my backpack; my pyramid bag isn't there. I don't bother to pursue; they'd be out of sight by now.
So later that day I start asking Michael Ty, Ben Yang, etc. - the usual suspects - if they know what happened to them. (Do I expect them to be honest to me if they did take it? Of course not. But anything helps, and anyway Eugene would probably know if they did and he'll tell me the truth.) Nobody knows anything about it, and that includes Eugene. Well, I go to Math that day - and there are my pyramids, sitting by the entrance! My pyramids weren't stolen, they were moved to the other side of the room!
...yeah, that's it.
