There was a quiz bowl practice during it, although I didn't know about it until pretty late and only actually got there for the last 3 questions or so. The teams: All the QB alumni who were there, and most of the current members of the team... vs Chris, Emi, and Mr. Scarpone, who, you may recall, is a Jeopardy 5-day champion and I think semifinalist in the tournament? We won, but we were tied going into the final tossup...
Remember that letter from Jeff Beals? Which I didn't post, I just forwarded it to people who said they wanted to see it? Well apparently it's been going around - including, at one of my relative's synagogue, the rabbi reading it to the entire congregation - so I figure I may as well just put it up where people can see it. I finally cashed all those checks my relatives sent me for my birthday. Yay $350... now to figure out what to go do with it...
