First Cheney was winning, then Edwards caught up, then Edwards was winning, then Cheney caught up, then I stopped watching when the moderator asked Cheney how he was different from Edwards.

One thing's for certain, though: Cheney could definitely out-debate Bush. Why can't he be the one running for president?

Oh boy, Day is making an open attempt on the crown. pitboss supports him. You know, I think this might because they don't realize that I *repealed* Bluebottle's original proclamation that playing Liff is mandatory, as there was a bug in the automatic notificator[0]. As soon as I get home I'm going to make a point of pointing this out.

Dr. Ostfeld, in the time immediately before a quiz: "Now you'll notice, Colin's not studying, because he doesn't care. Jacob's not studying, because he already knows it. And Harry's not studying, because he probably knows it from reading it in a book 2 years ago."

Dr. Ostfeld, on a recent Grand Avenue talking about plastics: "It's like I wrote the cartoon. Except I can't write and I can't draw."

Dr. Ostfeld is talking about how stainless steel is not a specific alloy, it's a whole class of them. And he says, originally they would give them all numbers.
"And when they ran out of numbers, they started using letters."
Me: "When they ran out of numbers."

The class didn't stop laughing for several minutes.

Addenda now that I'm home: I have sent out an email explaining that I did not actually require more participation in subgames, since I have repealed just as many required-participation decrees as I have created (in fact, now, one more than I have created.) I just hope they won't now overthrow me for being a weak king. :P

Oh, Sydney has made herself a shirt with the limerick written on it. (You can guess which one I mean.) I was wondering who would make such a shirt (well, ThinkGeek, perhaps, but I know pretty much all their shirts :D ) but Avi tells me she just ironed on the thing herself. Of course for sheer nerdiness it still doesn't beat Ed Early's "I <set of equations describing a cardioid> math" shirt. :D

Another thing I forgot: I must have been really tired this morning; I misread a "Kerry/Edwards" button as saying "Kerry/Woodchuck".

[0]Yes, "notificator".
