First Cheney was winning, then Edwards caught up, then Edwards was winning, then Cheney caught up, then I stopped watching when the moderator asked Cheney how he was different from Edwards.

One thing's for certain, though: Cheney could definitely out-debate Bush. Why can't he be the one running for president?

Jinx on entries. Not content; just theme. Though I agree about Cheney vs. Bush.

I didn't watch the presidentials...

What the hell? You're complaining that the weaker Republican candidate is the main one? :-P

The reason is that Cheney is too smart to be a good candidate. He has a negative, fierce, uncharismatic image, one that doesn't speak to common people strongly. Bush may be stupid, but he speaks in terms that stupid people like him can understand, which is why he appeals to swing voters.

Which is why he is, unfortunately, not the weaker candidate. And, of course, is the one I would less rather have as president.

He is the real president anyway... which is why I wanted to watch the debate. It would be interesting just to see Edwards, and then I would like to see Cheyney's views on different topics-- since he is actually the president anyway :)
