A quick bad math pun
Sep. 20th, 2004 06:00 pmSo today during lunch it apparently turned out that Avi did not understand *anything* about classes (in the programming sense) - a very bad thing since it's Java we have to use for AP CS - fields, methods, constructors, what he called "extensions" (he meant subclasses; he was thinking of Java's "a extends b" syntax) - and I had to do what I could to explain it to him. Obviously the first thing I explained was what fields were. I'm explaining this to him and he asks "Is this an extension?"
"No, Avi, this is just a field. I did not say anything about subclasses. We are not doing field extensions!"
