Gyah! Droppage!

No computer access Sunday or yesterday due to passwordforgettage so the result is frommemorydropping and not everything I might have wanted to write will get written. Oh well.

And yes, this LJ will *not* assume you read Fergie's, and so *will* include redundancies with it.

First of all, the cast.

All names will be in bold because I feel like it.

We played Illuminati Sunday. Yes, Illuminati on a Sunday. Well, it was the first day, we didn't have any work[3]... we tested a new Illuminati, the Knights Templar - 8/8 and 8, needs 35 resistance, can attack to control dead groups. Also we decided to test a rule that Cthulhu gets a permanent +1 income bonus every time it destroys a group (because otherwise it's the only group such that going for its special goal doesn't help it achieve its normal goal). I was Knights Templar, Josh was Cthulhu, Chris was Bavaria, and Steve (later Mung took over) was the Network. Final power structures will be posted later.

Avi was actually helpful in lecture today. Glenn was asking for properties of Z, and while other people were giving really bizarre things, Avi gave commutativity, associativity, and distributivity[4].

Additive inverses was actually the first one given, which caused a problem, as 0 had not been defined yet. Glenn asked how we can define 0, which led to some pretty strange answers, the worst of which as to be, "0 is the average of all the numbers in Z." Yes, really.

Glenn: You can just imagine these people, wandering around in the forest, and all they know how to do is count.

The cafeteria is now the actual downstairs cafeteria, which is neat. Except I get the distinct feeling it's too small - it was fine Sunday and Monday, but with the arrival of more summer programs, it was absolutely flooded today.

Really neat fireworks Sunday. They had these things doing all different shapes. Smiley faces, for instance.

M... what else, what else...

After the Illuminati game on Sunday, I decided I had better *not* carry Illuminati and Crimelords with me, so as to *prevent* spontaneous games of them. :P

Yes, I am carrying the ream of paper with me everywhere. No, it's not the same ream.

I can't seem to find my razor. I hope I just left it in Lexington and it's not totally lost... I had to borrow Mung's. I must say until now I had no idea just how good at keeping your head warm hair actually is. Of course right now that's not a good thing.

Fergie told a bunch of dirty jokes to his counselor and got lots of extra work in return.

The hole in the wall is repaired. Mostly.

As noted at the top, I'm sure there is much more to say, but as I've forgotten it (for now), I'll stop now. We've already had several quotes that "have to go on the T-shirt", but honestly, the only quote I remember is Glenn's one above.

So, that's it, I suppose, then.

(And I need to get back to work. Now that I finally know how to do those geometry problems... man, are determinants magical or what?)

...oh yeah, and today, on the floor in lecture, I found a big d6 marked with "Ja" on 2 sides, "Nein" on 2 sides, and what Chris says is the German word for "Maybe" (I forget the actual word) on the other 2. Maybe it's Mung's.

[0]Originally it was 4 Dans and Chris, but Chris got traded to Lorelei just so Dustin would have all 5.
[3]Except for me, because I have Justin.
[4]Or as I pronounce it, "distributitivity."
