Just some details
Jun. 16th, 2004 08:55 pmDr. Ostfeld lent me these books, Big Secrets and Bigger Secrets by William Poundstone. There's some really neat stuff in here. Did you know there's a whole bunch of radio stations that just broadcast a single letter over and over in Morse code, and nobody knows where they are, who's doing it, or why? (OK, so that's not actually secret. But it's still really neat. And a lot of stuff in there actually *is* supposed to be secret. Like the (probable) formula for Coke. Really, that's in there.)
So I showed Dr. D the cards. He acted a bit disappointed that the name "The Shadow Nose" wasn't original, but of course we know he really already knew that since, while he doesn't read this regularly, he certainly saw the entry about how I have to bring in the cards (for obvious reasons), and I'm told other people had already pointed it out to him being used in even other places.
And now: My schedule. I really have nothing to say about it. Well, except that I was actually thinking of taking Combinatorics as an elective (Ed Early is probably going to be teaching it...), but, um, yeah, taking any electives sounds like a bad idea. Also that I have no 2-mod things (except of course lunch is always officially 2 mods, but nobody cares), so I can just post this thing in blocks. And of course, before you ask, because I'm sure someone will forget - well, no, actually I'm not, but if someone else posted their schedule, I probably would - Wednesday is Senior Experience.
Notice how it's much more constant than in other years.
You know what I don't understand? Why, when they give us the schedule, do they leave off the teachers? It's not like they don't know them - I got a glimpse at my real schedule a bit ago, they know the teachers. Maybe they don't want us complaining in advance about the teachers we're getting?

[0]Really it's called "Senior Math Topics", but "Senior Topics in Math" sounds better.
[3]Dr. Grieco's class.
