No, I haven't lost my hunting permit, as I don't even have one. Nor have I gotten into any sort of car accident or anything, I just have that song stuck in my head!
(23:24:38) [K]: Microsoft Copied Apple!
(23:24:40) [K]: OMG
(23:24:43) [K]: How could they?!
(23:24:51) Sniffnoy: Carefully.
Of course we all know Microsoft loves to copy Apple, but this, I have to agree with K, is a bit extreme:

As for the Coup.
Here is Rule 560, The Coup: http://www.nomicron.org/ruleview.do?rule_number=560.1
Unfortunately it has passed. Fortunately we have members of the Establishment (those who originally opposed the Coup and caused it to fail the first time it was proposed) in the Coup, who, working together, will be able to submit enough Coup Rule Changes to disable the Coup that the real Coup won't be able to veto them all.
But that's not the funny part. The great part is the Coup Rule Change that Human is going to do, as soon as the turn starts:
To change Rule 560, The Coup, to read: "The Coup is where Nomicron keeps its chickens."
And then I write
By morning, night,
And afternoon,
And pretty soon
My name in Dnepropetrovsk is cursed,
When he finds out I published first!
Sorry, I've got that stuck in my head too...

"The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that
English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow
words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways
to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary."
