Nope, sorry, lost it. *g*

OK: to avoid confusion, Daniel Rubin will be called "Dan" and Daniel Cechetti (sp?) will be called "Daniel", Josh the Second Year will be "Josh" and Josh the Counselor will be "Counselor Josh".

Anyway... I have finally managed to start games of Homeworlds and Alien City here. The first game of Homeworlds was me, Teja, Chris, and both Daniels. It became the general agreement that Daniel, Teja, and I were good, and that Chris and Dan were evil. In fact, it was *known* I was good, as I made a big point of the fact that I had the chance to kill Chris right towards the beginning of the game, and did not do so. Dan, meanwhile, insisted that it was Teja and Chris that were evil, and Chris insisted it was Dan and Daniel. I eventually killed Dan, who was, in fact, evil. But then Daniel killed Chris - showing that Chris had been right all along, and, of course, winning.

The second game was with me, Daniel, Chris, and Teja. I was good, but nobody seemed to believe me. Finally Daniel eliminated me - revealing that he was also good! And, of course, screwing himself over in the process, as he would now need to eliminate both Teja *and* Chris, obviously both evil. Chris won when he killed Teja.

No, I don't expect you to understand that if you don't know how to play Homeworlds.

I played Alien City against Daniel, who had to leave in the middle; Bob took over for him. I lost by 2 points, 62 to 60.

In other news, today actually has a doable pset. Yay.

Given that the prime partners thing was not random (see [livejournal.com profile] jonpin), I'm vaguely wondering what the logic behind pairing me up with Billy was.

Oh, an important little episode I forgot to mention earlier. I showed Josh Mrs. Byrne's Dictionary. His response was one I have never seen before: "Everybody should know these words!"

Of course, he did see some he had never seen before (such as "zenzizenzizenzic", the 8th power of a number, "sophomania", the delusion of exceptional intelligence (or, as he put it, what Bob has), and "teleophobia", the fear of definite plans (it also means fear of religious ceremony, but that's not as funny.)).

-Sniffnoy, who has decided to once again actually start ending these like his Usenet posts, not that I bother reading Usenet here, as not having my computer, I'd have to go through Google, and that's not exactly something I like the idea of, and is also wishing he could get the overrides to work so he could get this whole thing in a monospaced font, and is being forced to resort to scrolling up and down randomly as a sigmonster, and who normally doesn't sign things this longly, but has already started, and thinks he may as well keep at it, even though there's no good reason to, but can't think of much more that he could add to make this any longer.
