I finally reinstalled Windows, like I said I would. Why? So I could play Windows games, why else? But it appears it only comes with drivers for 640x480, 16 colors! Wow, that seems so pointless now... I just infected my computer with Windows for nothing... of course, I'm sure I *can* find the drivers, but considering my laziness... well, it does have *some* use; I can install Word on it and use that until I bother to get OOO working again... of course that's just temporary...

Meh. Whatever.

-Sniffnoy, who is thinking of changing distros; any suggestions?

It is called... "It doesn't come with drivers period!"

Windows 9x does not have really any drivers built in. I belive the first Microsoft OS to actually have any USABLE drivers in a mass quantity was WindowsXP. Plus... I don't understand anyone who would ever use Windows98... and especially not Millenium. I would even use Linux over those at this point. Maybe you should get a copy of XP over there.

Which now is apparently a good time to say "Would you like to buy a copy of WindowsXP? Contact me!" (Although I am almost positively sure you don't want it.)

Yes, I am reccommending switching to the XP Distro, or *GASPS* Lindows. (JK about the lindows part of course)

When it becomes easy to use a Mac with a keyboard, and when the programs are actually executables (so you can open them from the command prompt) instead of folders which contain the executable somewhere hidden deep inside, and when (other similar conditions), sure.

It is easy to use a mac with a keyboard. everything that you can do in OS X, you can do w/o a mouse. You might need to set it up a bit first. System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Full Keyboard Access. Or just open the Terminal ("command prompt" for non-mac users).

It is possible to run applications from the "command prompt" aka Terminal. it's also possible to open anything else. the command is: "open filename". Works with folders, and applications too. Basically a double-click in the GUI interface equates to an "open" command.

Any other complaints? I'll be happy to refute them.

OK, that was kind of stupid of me, I didn't know about open. But *why*?! Why does it need to have open?! That's just seems so pointless! I mean, I'm sure there's a good reason for it, but what's so wrong with just having these things be actual executables?
