sniffnoyWell, case 1 turned out to be, ah, the case. (See below.) Plus, I got my copy of HHGG back from Ben, and my Chrononauts deck back from Polina. This means the only remaining things I have to do this year are:
1. Hand in my elective form,
and B. Take my lock home.
Well, that's good.
In other news...
Quizbowl practice today, in which I got 2 *amazing* powers.
The first one was something like
"The word originally meant divine grace bestowed on a Christian-" *buzz* "Charisma."
After that I just evilly laughed for quite a while.
The second one went
"It was invented by Ken Thompson and Dennis Ritchie to play games-" *buzz* "Unix."
This one prompted Stephan to comment, "You're on the A team. This isn't tryouts, but you're on the A team."
For the record, I knew the first of those from reading through a dictionary of etymology, and the second from having read through the entire Jargon File.
