The Swordfish was attacked by the pirate ship Revenge.

I killed Zach, but Ryan, Mariya, both Fans and all 3 Vlads escaped nearly unhurt.

Meanwhile, Ryan cut off Tavgfrg's arms.

Targfrg and I are unhurt. The Swordfish is sunk. Thankfully Mike Epstein happened by and rescued us. We managed to save the corn as well, and are continuing our voyage on the Tuna, which he sold us for the price of 13 of our boxes of corn.

Meanwhile, the Revenge has escaped...

Yarr, this be no game! The Swordfish do be lying in Davy Jones's locker. I ask ye, will ye join me crew? The Tuna don't enough men to defend herself as she is, with Tavgfrg's arms being cut off. Toreun has joined us as navigator, but still, more would be better.

...just so you know, "Revenge" is the default name for the first flagship you get in Pirates!.

I know I'm going to regret saying this, but I suppose if you need crew, I can join...

This pirate ship Revenge is also known as the Ketchum.AKetchum... why it has two names, I don't know.
