sniffnoyApparently Dr. Nevard's problem is quite far from easy. CounselorJosh has so far managed to figure out that you *don't* necessarily have cancellation, and that it must be of characteristic 2. SecondYearJosh is still puzzling over this, having figured only that the characteristic must divide 14. [Correction: Josh has just explained how he got characteristic 2 to Josh.] Everyone else, SFAIK, has stopped working on it. Of course, more people probably read this than I know, so who knows who's working on it. Not to mention all of Dr. Nevard's other students.
