Although, as Linda[0] pointed out, it looks like 2 of its legs are not actually its own but rather the legs of something it is in the process of eating... which would mean it actually only has 1 leg. Also, at one point it definitely used one of its legs as an arm, to wave to Chandi. So maybe it has none. Then again, who says you can't wave with your foot?

I think I'll name it Rupert.

Something very funny happened this morning but I think I'm better off leaving the description thereof to Jayme and Chris and others.

Last 3 mods today, we (being me, Ryan, and Cathy on one team, and Linda[0] and I forget-who-else on the other team, with Meerah as one of the goalposts) played a game of "kick the nearly flat piece of paper up and down the hallway in an imitation of soccer". We really scuffed up the floor, and Mrs. Moran made us go and rub our shoes back over the marks to erase them. I'm not quite certain whether we lost 3-2 or whether it was tied 2-2 or what.

I wonder whose the TV is that is always in the senior lounge? Well, as well as that (and the video games people are always bringing in), we now have 2 checkers sets and a Trivial Pursuit set, belonging to Mr. Davis, actually. I thought maybe I'd just go and leave my Carcassonne set in there, and then I remembered, that's right, it's missing a tile. Can you get replacements? I hope so. Or I could go and leave other games in there, but what else do I have that can be played in less than an hour? (My Icehouse pieces, I keep with me.)

Question: What would a picture of Zorn's Lemon look like?

[0]The two "Linda"s in this entry refer to different people; the first is Linda Cai, the second is Linda Sung.

Clearly, a picture of Zorn's Lemon would look yellow and equivalent to the axiom of choice.

I'm not sure how something can "look" "equivalent to the axiom of choice," but Zorn's Lemon must be able to pull it off.

But Zorn's Lemma *doesn't* look equivalent to the Axiom of Choice...

Well, Zorn's Lemon is probably constructible but not visualizable, as there is no explicit construction. So we only have the parameters "yellow" and "lemon-ish". Whatever you can do with those, you can use to describe the Lemon. Other than that, nobody can have any idea what it looks like.

I can't believe I just gave a semi-valid response to that...

And no lemon is yellower than it, I suppose?
