I think someone detonated a monkey in my ears

Ow. Pep rally today.

Some interesting things I noted during it, when I wasn't busy holding my ears shut...

At one point they played a song that was pretty clearly about prostitution if you listened to the lyrics at all... who thought to do this and why the administration let them get away with it is unknown... it was really disgusting...

At one point one of the people noted that some team was "3 and 0", and Mrs. Careri then appended "That means they have 3 wins and no losses!". Because obviously nobody knows what "3 and 0" means.

At one point they used one of those tunes one of the TV networks uses when going to/from commercial break to/from a sports broadcast... much better than any other tune they used...

Tom: "Why doesn't the math team appear in the pep rallies? We actually win stuff."

(Perhaps next time we'll have someone run across with a sign saying "Math Team: We actually win stuff"...)

Mr. Sayres *finally* called the QuizBowl team together. We *really* need to get more people (how many times have I said that now? :P ) It's Mr. Gupta that's going to actually be taking us to tournaments, not Ostfeld or Demeter.

(i don't know you). I was searching on Google for "Hey. Look at my new profile. Click on GET INFO!" because i too was suspicious. I didn't even click on his profile in fear of getting some new trojan or virus of some sort. Anyways, your lj was the only thing that came up from Google's search.
