Yes, exactly that. It doesn't just do this for email: it autofills for things like Google Docs collaborative editing and sharing (another amazing organizational feature for documents), and lets you easily see and share to the calendar of anyone in the organization (at my company anyway--that might be a privacy issue at bigger places).
