Phantom math classes?
Mar. 27th, 2009 09:40 pmSo went to actually sign up for classes today, and found on add/drop the following 3 listed:
MATH 29508 Algorithmic Randomness & Dimension
MATH 29511 Introduction to Stochastic Processes
MATH 29512 Introduction to P-Groups
Rather, it's that last one I noticed first. Woah! Nobody told me there was going to be a class just on p-groups! Cool! Who's running this? Click on details in time schedules... there are none. The class, as well as the two above it, aren't on time schedules at all. They're just not there.
Uh...? Maybe I should sign up anyway just in case? ...nope, clicking on any of them just produces the message that their are no available sections for that class. Weird.
ADDENDUM: Kate Harney points out these are most likely the classes in France this quarter (e.g. Wai Lee is going to France and taking a class on p-groups). Oh. Damn, why can't they just have those here?
