Picture on the front is a Sieve of Eratosthenes in Z[i]. Front quote:

By day we experience; by night we describe.
G. H. Stevens

The back! It begins "20!=243290" and then there is a massive "2008" (in two rows) that makes up the main text, concluded by "176640000" and then a picture of an icosahedron. You'll notice there's a lot of 20s on this thing, because it's PROMYS's 20th year. Anyway...

Notes and explanations:
"Harry Altman1": Hey, there's 20 counselors, so to get in another 20, they numbered them.
"Ideals are contagious...": I'd just like to note that I introduced this statement.
"Is there a janitor...": Apparently this was a mispronunciation of "generator"?
"Lucas Jesus...": Despite the repeated assertion that "everyone" calls him "Jesus", I never heard a single person actually do this.
"mm-ah went the little green frog...": From the "frog song" Allan performed at the talent show.
"Warning:": I have no idea what this is referring to.
"Jeremy Booher, 2007": Apparently they accidentally left him off the 2007 shirt.
"The division algorithm...": By which he meant the conveyor belt. Not as good, I think, as the Tim quote I tried to get on - "Did you just call me odd? I'm not odd! I'll BURN you!"
"Introducing...": A dance act at the talent show.
"I am Batman!": Exclaimed by Glenn during lecture in reference to a certain diagram.
"Amy Ravioli": A reanalysis of "amravali".

The same one? Because you're about to be a third-year, while this kid is going into 12th grade, IIRC. That puts 3 years between you. So if we assume it's the same guy, either this kid was taking calculus classes as a freshman in high school, or he was somehow taking classes at Uchicago. I guess the latter isn't so ridiculous, but I hadn't heard of high school kids in the classes here before, so unless you can provide more detail, my thinking would be it's probably not the same guy.
