Minus one person, minus one beard
Feb. 2nd, 2007 04:55 amThough the beard in question is not on the person in question.
So Sarah E is taking a leave of absence, for health reasons, we're told. Well, I suppose I'll no longer need to specify Sarahs. Meanwhile, Kate the Younger is convinced that Housing will assign her a new roommate, saying Bill and Dave told her the lists are packed with people wanting to move in. But into a double? Now, all last year the talk was that there were always people wanting to move in... but never any willing to accept a double. And indeed, aside from Felipe, who was placed in a double with Frank as he was new second quarter being on a study abroad/exchange program, and as such did not get to demand a single, the only two people to move in moved into singles. This year, Peter did get a new roommate, New Mike, not assigned automatically by Housing but, in fact, willing to accept a double... but will this happen again? Kate said only that Bill and Dave said that the lists were packed, not that they were packed with people willing to accept a double. Unless someone actually moves into Sarah E's spot, I will continue to maintain that New Mike is the exception rather than the rule.
Meanwhile, my beard has finally been judged, by Girl Alex and Jim, to be an actual beard, and hence I can finally get rid of the thing. But, I couldn't actually do it today, as we couldn't find Jim tonight, and he's the one with the tools for doing so. Still, tomorrow, the house will be minus one beard.
In other news, tired of waiting for Facilities to do their job, Dave went and actually fixed the TV connection himself, actually rethreading the cut cable! That I certainly wasn't expecting.
