This weekend I was in Massachusetts once again. (My parents were picking up Elana from the ominously-named "Genesis program" they had dropped her off at 4 weeks ago.)
So of course I stop by PROMYS - this is Saturday, I should say - only to find that everyone present is actually working! Josh starts an Illuminati game, which I watch, and which almost ends in a reasonable amount of time (i.e. 2½ hours), but Erick rolls a 12. They took a break then and I left.
I walked over to Random Hall, where Tom is staying for UROP and where he'd told me I could stay the night. I don't actually have to get him to let me in as I'm on his guest list, but as for where he is? I have no idea, and he doesn't answer his cell phone, so I wander the floors, trying to get some idea of the layout of the building.
Suddenly I encounter a Xiao! The Xiao says "Ooh! It's Harry!" and then runs up the stairs going "TomTomTomTomTomTomTomTomTomTomTomTomTomTomTomTom!"
[At this point, I get lazy and stop putting any effort into writing this entry.]
...yeah, there's nothing really specific about staying there to write about. Except maybe watching two episodes of Stargate: Atlantis, rather recent ones, when I haven't seen any of Stargate before and had only Chris's vague description of it for background, and just today went and looked it up and found that a lot of the conclusions I made about the background from just those two episodes were, in fact, quite wrong. But I didn't expect to see Xiao there, that was cool. I got to hit him on the head a lot.
...OK, to make up for that horribly written entry, here's a great link I found on Wikipedia, an article on how to truly write horribly. (Also, for those who want to see an actual well-written LJ, I might direct you to
lord_belmont.)
...yeah, I have no ending for this. As often. I'm lazy.

(Look at that! 3 paragraphs in a row opened with ellipses! I should probably do something about that! ...nah.)
ADDENDUM: Also, there was a very friendly cat named Chloë.
