EDIT: No longer needed. Heidi found the paper. It's "How to Seem Telepathic: Enabling Mind Reading by Matching Construal" by Tal Eysal and Nicholas Epley.

So I'm trying to find a particular psychological study for Heidi. It's from the past few years.

I may be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure it was about people's evaluation of their own appearance. (Pretty sure it was appearance, though it's possible I'm misremembering.) Or rather, their predictions of how other people would evaluate their appearance. It was a construal level theory thing; I forget the details, the upshot was that they were more accurate when they were told to think about something several months or years in the future. IIRC, I think what it was was that that people's predictions of how others would judge their current appearance in the future (based on a photo, say), were a better predictor of how other people would judge their appearance now, than their predictions of how other people would judge their appearance now.

My search ability is failing me. Help, anyone?
