Bread of the Dead
Nov. 14th, 2007 08:47 pmIt occurred today at dinner that I was sitting opposite Grant and had two rolls of bread. Grant grabbed one and took a bite, putting the rest back on my tray. "Oh no," I said, noticing the slight resemblance between the missing bite and a mouth, "now the bread is going to eat you!" and threw it at him, but it quickly fell onto the floor.
Eventually he picked it up and returned it to my plate. "It's back from the dead," he explained. "Oh no! Undead bread!" I said, chucking it in the direction of Henderson. It actually hits a girl, who looks over to the Tufts table, puzzled. To make clear just what's going on, I shout "ZOMBIE BREAD!", loud enough for most of the dining hall to hear.
However, it failed to attack them, and eventually the girl got up and returned the bread to me, saying something along the lines of "I think you lost your bread." "OH NO! RETURN OF THE ZOMBIE BREAD!" I shout, and (since throwing it as Henderson surely won't do any more good) chuck it directly forward, towards the food area. It lands directly in front of the doorway and right at Winston's feet, who looks weirded out and then goes back in to get more food.
Some random asks me to pick up the bread, and I do so, but I leave it on Tyler's tray. I don't want to get zombified.
Grant would like to point out that neither of the times the topic of zombies came up that dinner was it brought up by him.
