Things accumulate...

Hm, "pain gun" and "spy games" - never did get around to writing those up. We'll see if I do...

So Kenneth seems to have gotten much worse at 64 Smash. Last time I played him, I beat him pretty consistently.

Meanwhile, tonight random Thompson kid - by the name of Ted - shows up in our lounge and starts playing Melee. He beats both me and Winston. "We lost to a Thompson kid?!" I say to Winston after the first game. (Not that Winston and I are exactly the pinnacle of Smash skill in Tufts.) Bah. We'll show them. He actually knew the game pretty well, though - as I recall, our experience with challenging other houses to Smash was that we would crush them, compared to us they barely knew how to play. But I'm getting the idea we haven't played against Thompson doing this - just Henderson and Shorey. Well, I bet we could still take 'em were we really to hold a tournament between us - and if not in Melee, then definitely in original. The problem is arranging such.

We now only have 3 N64 controllers, as Grant took his gray one back after Wai Lee punched it. For the Gamecube, Nathan brought a 5th controller. Its thumbstick was very good, making it our second-best controller - until it was found the other buttons just weren't working right, and it's now not used.

Takumi and Jeremy are now both rid of their casts/splints. Hm, I didn't mention that before, did I? I thought I mentioned something about "a surprising number of first-years have broken bones already". Well, looks like I didn't. Anyway, by a "surprising number", I meant "two", but no longer.

Unrelatedly, TANSTAAFL is still closed as PTC searches for a manager. Laura (who is now president of PTC) said earlier they thought they had 3 people who might do it, but now none. The result, of course, has been many more trips to Bart Mart and a considerable drain on my flex.

Random quote from house meeting:
Colin is talking about a possible costume contest for Halloween.
Dan: Wait, what day do we dress up?
Colin: Halloween... you jackass.

Julian... hm... I think I'll skip that. I couldn't tell it right.

Pain gun... eh, I'll just give you the link, and say, hell yes! I was going to talk about why I think this is such a good thing (assuming they don't ban it, which they probably will), but if you know me, you've probably already heard that rant.

Spy games... yeah, I don't think I'm ever going to write that one.

Oh, that leaves me to write about how Ryan (one of the first-years) is an asshole. That will be saved for another time...

(Oh, and watch that video from last entry. Really. It's amazing.)
