"Colin, did you spend *money* on this?"
Feb. 13th, 2007 01:42 amSo Unaccompanied Women, a local women's a capella group (including Hilary and Evette, it should be noted), was doing a fundraiser for Valentine's Day - for a small price they (all of them, or at least a good number of them, I don't know just how many they are) would show up at the specified person's door and serenade them for you with one of several songs they knew.
Some of the element of surprise is lost, however, when the target (Aaron, in this case) is not in their room, but is in the Tufts House upper lounge, meaning instead of being able to appear all at once at your door, they have to shuffle single-file up the stairs (I suppose the red or gray stairs could be used instead to get up, but the lounge doors still don't permit more than one person through at a time, and because they're so narrow, you couldn't even properly do it from the other side of the door) and then organize themselves into formation amidst the crowd of expectant bystanders, who've already been told about this by Colin. It kind of increases the startup time, you know.
And so we ended up with these people singing "All My Loving" to Aaron (on behalf of Colin, of course) in the upper lounge, in front of basically everyone, leading Aaron to give us the title of this entry.
