So it turns out the thing with the police yesterday? Nadja's in the hospital, and I completely didn't notice she was missing. No, there's no issue with the law, the police just always turn up when someone's going to the hospital, you know.

Now, I would have thought the first thing to do after seeing police in the dorm would be to check for who's here and who's not (as when Jan-Michael got the pseudomumps), but when nobody else did one, I just kind of figured nobody was missing. And totally didn't notice Nadja's absence.

Anyway, she's basically OK, she should be back pretty soon.

So the police were here yesterday morning for some reason, but I haven't heard anything about it since. Of course, I don't think I'm supposed to officially know anything about it, but normally you couldn't have something big enough to involve the police happen here without everyone figuring it out within the day. They must have really kept it quiet, though I can't guess how.

Unrelatedly: Non-short 2-player boardgames. At home, not something I have much use for. But here, when it's a weekend and there's time, the problem is finding players. Unlike last year, I can actually find players, but still, I'm thinking that maybe more 2-player stuff would be a good idea. OK, so actually, I already have a bunch of 2-player games, but no really great ones, and all pretty short ones (Carc would be the longest, unless you play T&E or DoA 2-player) and... well, OK, really I'm just trying to find an excuse to buy Twilight Struggle. I've been reading about it and it looks really cool. It's just, you know, I decided earlier I probably shouldn't get anything more for awhile, I have so many already and they don't even get out that much. Of course, I don't intend to actually buy any more games right now, because, you know, where is the money coming from? I don't want to go eating away my own support here - but I'm thinking maybe I will when I get some more money.
