Grant's mom is very, very unusual

Grant: Harry, you are a very unusual boy.
Me: Your mom is a very unusual boy!
Grant: I would go so far as to say that she's not a boy.
Me: That's what's so unusual!
This came up again several times since them - eventually, Grant pointed out, "This all came from me saying that you're a very unusual boy. Does that mean that you're my mom?" "Damn. He figured it out."
I don't remember what prompted this, but I also concluded that Grant is actually from the future and was sent back in time as a baby.
Grant, of course, denies all of it, still maintaining that his mom is not a boy at all.
Of course, I went and wrote on Grant's whiteboard, "Grant's mom is a very unusual boy." I returned later to find "a" and "boy" erased, so I added them back in, but Grant thought it now looked like "Grant's mom is a very unusual box." I think it's safe to say that Grant's mom is, at the least, very unusual.
