sniffnoy: (Chu-Chu Zig)
Amazingly, despite having not slept at all the night before, I not only managed to stay awake the entire time, but wasn't even particularly slow on the buzzer, winning a lot of the buzzer races. Although I did thrice buzz in and just blank. We were mostly against really easy teams anyway, being in division 2. 6-1 in the first rounds (lost to Cincinnati A, the only team we played against in that part that wasn't really easy), 2-2 during the following playoffs (lost to Michigan A, who went undefeated, and Northwestern). Considering our very high scoring, we've presumably made it to nationals. Results don't seem to be available anywhere yet.

UPDATE: Results can be found here. For Division 1, just change the URL appropriately. This doesn't seem to include the Division 2 playoff games, but I'd just like to note that for those games listed, anyway, we were first in number of powers and bonus conversion.

Oh, I should note, my team was me, Minda (captain), Nolan, and John Laycock.

Things worth recording:

During a bonus on Egyptian gods, someone on our team suggests "Hoth" as an answer.

"...featuring songs in this language..."
Nolan buzzes in. "Brazilian."
This was the very first clue, so after the room finally settled down, it allowed the other team to power-vulture with "Portugese".
